Puerto
Rico native, Joyce Giraud, started a professional career
at age 15 when a talent scout spotted her working in a Kentucky
Fried Chicken. He immediately hired her for a shoe commercial, her
first television appearance. Joyce went on to earn two separate
degrees in Social Work and Special Education, concentrating on her
education before pursuing her modeling career full time. Her first
brush with modeling success came with a win at the Miss World pageant.
It was followed with her representation of her native Puerto Rico
in the Queen of Atlantics pageant in Spain. She was crowned Miss
Venus in 1997, Miss Puerto Rico in 1998 and ended finishing second
runner-up in the Miss Universe Pageant that same year. Her television
credits include host of a Filipino music television show, host of
a Puerto Rican interview show, At Night With Joyce, and an appearance
on the talent search show, Destination Stardom in 1999. She has
also appeared in the syndicated series, Baywatch Hawaii, and has
hosted the Latin Grammy Awards alongside Daisy Fuentes. Her feature
credits include an appearance in the hit box office comedy, Dude,
Where's My Car? She currently co-hosts the Spanish language music
show, Sabor Latino Con Studio M along with David Osokow.
David Osokow
was born in Van Nuys, California as the son of an American Los Angeles
Police Department detective and Colombian mother, an E.S.L. teacher.
Raised in Chatsworth, California with a grandmother in the house
who only spoke Spanish, David became fluent in the language, but
says he was "cursed with a 'gringo' accent", able to speak the language,
but sounding like an American nonetheless. His dream originally
was to someday grow up and become a game show host, born out of
his love to interact with people and his good game show host hair.
David was a child actor from age 7 to 15, appearing in the film,
Annie and TV series' The Thorn Birds, The Fall Guy and Highway to
Heaven. He quit at age 15 to concentrate on school and baseball.
After high school, David attended California State University at
Northridge where he studied biology, hoping to become an orthodontist.
He became president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and of the Intra
Fraternity Council, the governing body for the entire Greek system.
He also became a public speaker throughout the U.S., talking to
incoming freshman about dealing with peer pressure. David switched
his major to speech communications and graduated in 1995. After
graduation, he realized a dream by becoming a game show host in
the Game Show Network's coast-to-coast search. Recently, David has
appeared in a Bud Light commercial and works as a nightclub promoter.
He has helped run a popular Hollywood haunt, The Garden of Eden,
for the past three years and has thrown large parties at The House
of Blues, The Comedy Store and many other venues. He enjoys playing
baseball, scuba diving and skydiving. He is currently the host of
the Spanish language music video show, Sabor Latino Con Studio M
with the stunning Miss Puerto Rico, Joyce Giraud.
